This course reviews the fundamentals of the Air Conditioning cycles and components involved in each cycle, including the different types of compressors and how they function. Then it moves into Automatic A/C Systems and the sensors and actuators used and how to diagnose these systems using the Display Panel. It also reviews the basics of Controller Area Network (CAN) systems. Each student will receive a Student Reference Manual, a 1995-2006 Specifications Manual and CD, and a Trim Panel Tool Set.
This course covers basic Scan Tool navigation, OEM and Aftermarket Scan Tool availability, Mode $06 Information analysis, PC interfaces for recording, graphing, etc., PID grouping skills, Bidirectional controls, and strategies for tracking down network faults.
