The Original U-Groove

Even DENSO's "standard" spark plug is something special. The innovative design that helped to make DENSO spark plugs famous, the U-groove plug employs a unique, channeled ground electrode designed to generate a larger spark nucleus at the point of ignition. Platinum TT®

Contemporary spark plugs may employ precious metals like platinum on the center electrode. The platinum Twin-Tip plug raises the bar, with DENSO's special platinum alloy on the center electrode and a titanium-enhanced alloy on the ground electrode. Double Platinum

DENSO was the pioneer in introducing platinum spark plugs to the automotive aftermarket, but was hardly content to rest on that achievement. While conventional platinum plugs use platinum only the center electrode, the DENSO Double-Platinum plug features platinum on both the center and ground electrodes. Iridium Long Life

DENSO's Iridium Long Life spark plug is standard equipment with a number of automakers, including GM, Toyota, Honda, and Mitsubishi. DENSO's patented iridium alloy is more durable than even platinum, allowing the center electrode to be shrunk to only 0.7 mm in diameter. This produces a dramatic improvement in ignitability and spark plug life.

Iridium Racing®
